COVID-19
Important Information
Â鶹ÊÓƵ School has returned to full operations, with every girl on campus for classes five days per week.
There is still the need for us to be vigilant and remain focused on the health and wellbeing of every student and staff member. Extra measures have been put in place to assist with this, which can be found below.
At this stage we are still unable to generally welcome parents or other adults onsite without an appointment. Our usual events such as Parent/Teacher interviews, information evenings, etc., will continue to be delivered online. Once restrictions ease, we will review opportunities for us to open our doors more widely.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the School currently open?
The School is open. Girls are back at school full-time. We ask that parents or other adults do not come onsite without an appointment.
What measures has Â鶹ÊÓƵ School implemented with the full return to school?
- All students and staff have their temperatures checked upon arrival. Any student with a high temperature will be isolated until collected by a parent or asked to go home if they are a staff member. In this event, the student or staff member will be advised to seek medical advice.
- If your daughter is unwell, please do not send her to school.
- During recess and lunchtime, Year groups will be separated and encouraged to distance.
- The café is open for all girls.
- School buses are all running but girls are asked to distance themselves from others during the trip, where possible.
- Parents are asked not to come on campus unless for a pre-arranged appointment. If this is necessary, a temperature check of the parent will be made upon arrival at Main Reception.
- Bubblers have been closed. Students can still refill water bottles at the water filling stations.
- Increased cleaning of desks, door handles and the like will occur during the school day.
- Parents of older girls returning to school might choose to discuss with their medical practitioner whether the flu vaccine is appropriate for them. If your daughter has a phone you might consider downloading the COVIDSafe app.
- Junior School parents are requested to use the Kiss and Drop car park option rather than leaving their cars to pick up students.
When will sport resume?
Sport is returning in Term 3. Some training for Term 3 sport will be held during the July holidays.
Has anyone at Â鶹ÊÓƵ School been diagnosed with COVID-19?
The School has not been informed of any positive diagnoses. In the event that a diagnosis is made and notified to the School, there will be official communication from the School to the community.
Is there a risk that the School could be closed because of COVID-19?
There have been examples where NSW schools have been closed to enable the NSW Health to confirm whether there is a case of the coronavirus amongst the students or staff at that school. It is possible that this could happen at Â鶹ÊÓƵ School.
What happens if there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 at Â鶹ÊÓƵ School?
In the case of a confirmed case, the infected child or staff member will already be absent from school. Upon being notified by NSW Health that closure is needed, we will alert our community and if it is during the School day, dismissal and pick up of the girls would occur as soon as possible.
NSW Health will be in very close communication with the Principal; directing the decision to close, determining cleaning requirements and advising on when return to school can occur.
An SMS and an email will be sent to all members of the community as soon as possible. There will also be notifications on our social media sites.
Should notification come during the School day, the Head of Senior School and the Head of Junior School will then liaise with teaching staff to coordinate the dismissal of students. Staff who have identified themselves to the Head of HR as having a vulnerable health condition will leave the School immediately.
Arrangements for Student Pickup (should notification come during the School day):
Â鶹ÊÓƵ School run School buses will be called into action early
- Girls may not travel home on public transport
- Those who usually walk home from school will be dismissed to do so
- Junior School parents will be directed to pick up Junior School girls via kiss and drop
- Senior School girls will also need to be collected from school, upon arrival parents will be asked to message their daughters to advise pick up location
- Girls will be supervised, separated by year group until they can be collected – supervised by HOY or delegate
- We will follow all directives from NSW Health with regard to cleaning and return to school
- While away from school we will return to flexible learning model for Year 4 to Year 12
