Â鶹ÊÓƵ School mourns the loss of Judy Singh (Wooll, 1955)

It is with great sadness that we share with you the news that Judy Singh (Wooll, 1955) passed away on 19 January 2023.

Judy was part of a four generation Â鶹ÊÓƵ School family; mother Gwendoline Wooll (Daniel, 1934), daughter Tanya Singh (1977), granddaughters Anna Crawford (2005) and Megan Crawford (2007), and her son-in-law’s sister, Fiona Crawford (1982), all attended Â鶹ÊÓƵ School.

She enrolled into Nursery (Pre-K) at Â鶹ÊÓƵ School at the age of 4 in 1943 and completed her entire schooling at the School. Later she became an active and dedicated Committee member of the Â鶹ÊÓƵ School Old Girls’ Union (OGU).
Judy was the President of the OGU on five occasions for a total of 12 years, holding other Executive positions at numerous other times, and for over 10 years she was the OGU representative on the Â鶹ÊÓƵ School Council. She also represented the Â鶹ÊÓƵ School OGU on external committees such as the National Council of Women and the Girls’ Secondary Schools Club. In the late 2010s, Judy was part of the driving force that led to the magnificent revitalisation of the Â鶹ÊÓƵ School Chapel.

Judy’s contribution to Â鶹ÊÓƵ School can not be overstated. She gave financially and donated her time for decades. She was a valued and much loved member of the Â鶹ÊÓƵ School community and we will miss her greatly.

Judy’s funeral will be held on Friday 10 February 2023 at 10.30am at the Camellia Chapel Macquarie Park Crematorium, North Ryde. (If you are unable to attend the funeral, a livestream link will be available. Call Caring Funerals on 02 9713 1555 for the link.)

A celebration of Judy’s life will follow at Strathfield Gold Club Weeroona Rd, Strathfield from 1.30pm.
