Old Girl, Emily Sun (2009) wins the 2018 ABC Young Performers Award Congratulations to Â鶹ÊÓƵ Old Girl, Emily Sun, who has won the ABC Young Performers Award 2018 with a performance of the Beethoven Violin Concerto on Tuesday 24 July accompanied by the SSO in the SOCH. Emily is an outstanding violinist who studied at Sydney Conservatorium of Music before undertaking her current studies at the Royal College of Music in London. As part of her prize, which is worth over $80,000, Emily will embark on a series of recitals and concerto performances around Australia. Another Â鶹ÊÓƵ Old Girl, Victoria Wong (violin) also made it through to the ABC Young Performerssemi finals. Victoria is currently studying in Berlin.
