Senior Years Drama Production – 'Emily and the Detectives' 'Emily and the Detectives' ran from Wednesday 20 June 2018 to Saturday 23 June 2018. The play was set in Germany in the 1930s, when Emily was sent to Berlin by her mother with a sum of money for her grandmother. The play chronicled Emily's mishaps along the way. Adults were not only unhelpful, but seemed almost hostile to the unfortunate Emily. Emily met other young people in the strange city of Berlin and enlisted the help of these ‘detectives’ to find the evil Mrs Snow and recover her stolen money. So began a journey into a surreal world where Germany was changing and threats lurked around every corner. This year saw the introduction of a new Senior School Drama Company whose first project was working on the production. Â鶹ÊÓƵ School students were also joined by boys from Newington College and we thank them for their role in this production.
