University of Technology (UTS) Initial Teacher Education Â鶹ÊÓƵ School and UTS have been working together to inspire the next generation of teachers to work with our students. We have codesigned a mentoring program that includes research and evidence about quality mentoring, and practical teaching opportunities to nurture active listening, reflection and feedback. After piloting the program in 2023 we have launched successfully again this year with a group of teachers and their preservice counterparts. Participants from Â鶹ÊÓƵ School and UTS have been vocal both about the benefits of working together to create a professional learning community and the chance to participate in ongoing research about what works in initial Teacher Education. *Photo Credit: University of Technology Sydney (UTS).
